Hi there, I'm Anila. I'm a qualified counsellor.  I qualified in 2010 at the University of Lincoln.

I have worked for 4 years as a Counsellor with Victim support and also as a Learning Supervisor at a primary school in Lincolnshire where I mentored children with challenging behaviour for a year, I then spent 6 years working with adults with autism which I really enjoyed, which which included managing behaviours and limiting sensory overloads so that life can be lived to their full potential. I also worked  as part of a team for Social Services as a Caseworker along side working closely with my private counselling clients. I am currently working as part of the Complex Behavior Team, supporting parents/schools on how to manage their child’s sensory needs.

I  offer private one to one, , telephone or teams counseling, supporting many individuals from a range of back grounds and age groups.

I am passionate about supporting individuals in finding themselves, their strengths, goals and their happiness.  I feel confident that my support and guidance can change an individuals perspective and outlook on life.

I am a trained listener and I will hear what you’re saying without judgment.  I offer a safe space where your feelings and emotions can be explored at your own pace. It is vital that when attending sessions that you are as open and honest as possible, no matter what feelings this may bring about in you. During the course of the sessions you may feel challenged, upset and relief at times but this is quiet normal and I’ll be hear to support you through it all.  That is when we will start to make progress and start moving forward to a brighter future.

Please feel free and assured that I am able and qualified to support you through these times.

I support individuals with stress management, confidence building, effective communication skills, anxiety, relationship issues, battling with insecurities/fears abuse and identity issues.

I use a combination of models, i.e. Person Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy during our sessions depending on the individuals needs.

I may however mention that all  sessions are confidential at all times except if the client mentions of any immediate danger to him/herself or others. If a client is endangering a population that can not protect themselves, such as in child or elderly abuse. This is the legal responsibility of the Counsellor to break confidentiality at this point and inform the correct services.
